On January 21, I was honoured to receive an award from the ISIA Edmonton Outreach Group/Shia Ithna Asheri Community of Edmonton. It was presented to recognize my involvement in social justice advocacy in Edmonton. It was the first time the Shia Ithna Asheri community recognized someone for social justice work.
